Our Founder’s Story 

Traditional Medicine helped save me.

Research helped me rebuild myself stronger.  

I didn’t go looking for an alternative approach.


I went looking for relief.

I came to a point in my life where I had to face debilitating lower back, shoulder, and neck pain so intense that sitting at my desk wasn’t an option. Some days, the only way I could work was by squatting, because sitting hurt too much.

Not exactly ideal.

As a U.S. Army veteran, pain wasn’t new to me. But this pain was different. It wasn’t something I could push through. Steroid injections and physical therapy gave me needed short-term relief, and I’m genuinely grateful for that. When you’re at rock bottom, traditional medicine matters.

A lot.

But once the crisis passed, something became clear.

Feeling better isn’t the same as being rebuilt stronger. 

I wasn’t being taught how to keep the pain from coming back.

There was no roadmap for rebuilding my body. No explanation for why things fell out of alignment in the first place. Just a quiet assumption that I’d be back again if things flared up.

That didn’t sit well with me.

So, I started researching beyond conventional care — not to replace medicine, but to support what medicine had already done.

That’s when things finally changed

Through strength training, PEMF therapy, Tai Chi, and The Egoscue Method, I learned how to realign my body and catch pain early — before it turned chronic.

I learned something simple but powerful:

The body works as one connected system.


When one part is off, everything feels it.


When the system is supported, pain loses its grip.

Then my nervous system spoke up.

Little did I know that life had another gauntlet planned for me. My father was diagnosed with cancer and after a few years, he finally lost the battle. After my father passed away, I experienced anxiety for the first time in my life. I had never understood others who tried to describe their anxiety to me...until it hit me. Hard. It didn’t show up immediately after my father's passing. It arrived months later — suddenly, physically, and without warning.

With the help of a grief counselor, who introduced me to how meditation can calm the brain's amygdala and turn off the fight or flight response of anxiety, I learned how to calm my stress response instead of fighting it. I also researched and successfully tried supplements that could offer me immediate relief if my heart began racing. Over time, the anxiety left — and it never returned.

Because I finally understood how to support my nervous system.

That experience changed how I see health — completely.

Why Epigenix Exists

Epigenix exists to work alongside traditional medicine — not against it.

Traditional medicine saves lives. It supports people in crisis. It relies on clinically researched, evidence-based care. When someone has reached rock bottom, it’s often exactly what they need.

But medicine also has limits.

As Tony Robbins explains in his book Life Force, innovation often moves faster than clinical & educational systems can safely adopt it. That’s not a flaw — it’s how safety works. But it does leave a gap.

Epigenix lives in that gap. 

We focus on emerging and innovative practices — both traditional and nontraditional — that are already helping real people feel better, move better, and live better.

Even if they haven’t made it into standard care yet.
